Zada Dressage Center Stage at Winter Equestrian Festival

Dressage will be center stage at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival with the CDI competition in one of the world's finest arenas and an end-of-season party to celebrate the Grand Prix musical freestyle under lights on Saturday, March 22.

The Zada Enterprises WEF Dressage Classic CDI-3* that is a qualifying competition for the 2008 Grand Prix National Championship and Olympic Games Selection Trials will be staged in the International Arena and adjacent rings at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center March 20-23.

The Grand Prix Musical Freestyle Saturday night extravaganza and party in the International Club is sponsored by the website Lingh.nl, the official website of the KWPN stallion Lingh, that was the star of the 2005 World Cup in Las Vegas and is now owned by Offield Farm.

The WEF Dressage Classic is a highlight of the 12 weeks of high performance horse shows and one of three dressage competitions managed by Equestrian Sport Productions, LLC.

Major classes include the USEF Grand Prix High Performance Qualifier for the USEF National Grand Prix Championship/Olympic Games Selection Trials, the National Intermediaire I Championships, the FEI North American Junior and Young Riders' Championships, National Developing Horse Dressage Championship, Junior, Young Rider & Brentina Cup Championships, the Markel/USEF Young Horse Dressage Program and Great American Insurance Group/USDF Qualifers.

Stabling for both the CDI and USEF classes will be at the North Grounds in the heart of the PBIEC competition that includes hunters, jumpers and equitation in addition to dressage.

ESP, that manages WEF, has placed dressage center stage at PBIEC as part of its plans to develop a spectator base for the Olympic discipline within the United States.

ESP announced Monday that it has applied for a CDI World Cup qualifier as a major feature of the International Equestrian Festival it is planning to hold in early December as one of the world's major equestrian attractions.

Next week's CDI will be promoted with radio and television advertisements, posters and news updates. At this week's $200,000 CN Worldwide Grand Prix on Sunday a dressage musical frestyle exhibition will be presented as a taste of next week's competition.

Details of the competition and reservations of the Saturday night competition and Lingh.nl party will be announced shortly.
